I get this question a lot, which I can understand. When first looking at my animations it would seem that I rarely touch on any other reference than myself. My drawings offer a similar response, however with recent work this has changed, the faces used are more varied as my references have changed. The reason I appear so often is rather simple. With my animations I am a body/face/voice that is always there. it is far easier for me to film myself and then make my animations than it is to try and find someone else. The issue is, I know a lot of people, but people are busy. People live their own lives and do their own things and can't always set apart the time to help me out with such a small project. So yeah, I draw myself a lot but simply because it's easier, hopefully I will start to find more faces to use, but that will come with time and contacts.
You were probably expecting a much deeper meaning than ease, however much like life, the reason is simple.
How did you find your style?
I'm not sure I did, or ever will. I don't really know what I'm doing, I just kind of do it and do what I like to see. With my animations it just came with figuring out how to do it in a way I could, and with my art the same thing. However, in terms of my writing - drama is something I've always liked to watch and writing it comes naturally.
